NHAI Implements Drone Recording for National Highway Projects to Enhance Transparency
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is enhancing transparency and efficiency by implementing drone recording for all stages of national highway projects, starting from the Detailed Project Report (DPR) stage. This initiative, which began in June 2021, aims to document existing conditions, monitor progress, and ensure timely project completion. An RFP has been issued to engage agencies for drone imagery, with a focus on utilizing AI and machine learning for data analysis. The empanelment period is initially three years, with potential extensions, covering various geographical zones across India.
