Slack Introduces AI File Summary Feature for Document Management
Slack is developing a new AI feature called AI File Summary, which will allow users to summarize text-heavy documents uploaded to the platform. Currently in development, this feature may be available to select paid subscribers. It will not work with password-protected or excessively large files and will have content limits. Users can upload files for summaries, which can be shared in chats and deleted if needed. Feedback on the summaries will be encouraged. This feature aims to enhance efficiency in managing large files, although the rollout date remains unconfirmed.
