The flight, which was traveling from Shanghai to Tokyo, faced chaos as oxygen masks deployed and passengers prepared for the worst, with some writing wills. The plane descended from 36,000 feet to below 10,500 feet in ten minutes, leading to a diversion to Kansai International Airport in Osaka. Fortunately, all 191 passengers and crew members were unharmed. The airline offered compensation of 15,000 yen and a night’s lodging while the incident is under investigation.
