Tata Advanced Systems Ltd (TASL) has signed a contract to manufacture Wheeled Armoured Platform (WhAP) combat vehicles for the Moroccan defence forces. This deal, the largest for Indian-made armoured vehicles, will see the delivery of WhAPs over three years. Developed in collaboration with DRDO and Tata Motors, the WhAP is an amphibious vehicle designed for modularity and adaptability in various roles. It has undergone extensive trials in Morocco and will incorporate upgrades during the supply period. The WhAP is already in use by Indian paramilitary forces.
